Many places where parents go have nursery services for their children. This can allow them to take part in Church services, a meeting at their child’s school, or a community activity where it can be difficult for children to remain still during it all. They would much rather have fun in the nursery with games and activities as well as other children their age to play with.

Some employers and colleges also offer on site childcare. It is very convenient for parents. They can also take care of giving their child medication or nursing while on break or lunch. This has become more popular in recent years due to the number of two parent households with both of them working and the number of single parents.

Too many parents worry about their children though and it can make it hard for them to focus on what is going on. They may be tempted to go down and check on the child. Yet that can create more of a stir than anything else. Many children cry when their parents leave them. Yet within a minute or so they are completely occupied with something to do. Seeing their parent peeking in on them can cause the tears to flow again.

This is why many such locations have been investing in nursery pagers. Each parent will carry around a paging system while there child is in the facility. Should they need to be contacted for any reason, the pager will go off. This has certainly made it much easier to reach parents when a child is ill or in the event of an emergency.

These pagers are able to be on a vibration mode so there won’t be any interruption of the activity that they are in. This is a great system that gives many parents peace of mind. They are able to leave their child and know that everything is going well or they would have gotten a page. Childcare providers also enjoy not having constant interruptions by parents calling or stopping in.

Yet some parents feel that they are being cut off from their child due to the nursery pagers. They feel they have the right to drop in unannounced at any time to check on their child. They feel there will be better care of the employees don’t know when they will be looked in on.
